I am unable to log in or interact with the comment section. I tried clicking on the “Log In” button, but the window disappeared. What could be the issue?

Here's how to fix known issues with third-party cookies that may prevent you from logging in or accessing Insticator Commenting.

The issue described is likely a result of Safari's or Chrome’s latest browser versions blocking third-party cookies (essentially text files containing small pieces of data to communicate with websites) as a default - in order to fix this and enable you to log into Insticator Commenting, please try the following steps:

For Safari users:

1. Open Safari and go to the right-hand corner and click on Safari -> Preferences from the drop down menu (see screenshot below):

 

2. Navigate to the Privacy Tab and make sure "Prevent cross-site tracking" is unchecked:

For Google Chrome users:

1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.  From the top right, select the three vertical dots and then "Settings":

2. This will open a web page, "Settings". On the left-hand navigation bar, select the Privacy and Security in the drop-down menu, and click on "Cookies and other site data" – you will be able to see before clicking in, whether third-party cookies are blocked, allowed, or blocked only in Incognito mode. By clicking into this area, you will be able to change these settings if needed, to "Cookies are allowed":

For Firefox Users:

1. Open up Firefox. Select the three vertical lines in the top right corner, and select "Preferences":

2. Within the "Preferences" menu, choose "Privacy & Security". There you will be able to select from Firefox’s menu of default options (Standard/Strict/Custom) – in order to allow certain cookies, choose the "Custom" option, and make sure you are not marked as blocking "All third-party cookies":
