Why do I need to verify my email address?

We ask our users to verify the email address they use to sign up to the Insticator Commenting platform. Why? We're glad you asked!

As a platform that strives to help make online discourse better, we strongly believe in helping our Partners maintain a safe and authentic space for conversations. A big part of that is helping our users avoid things like spammy or solicitous messages, or having other people try and register with their emails. Making email verification a requirement is another small step in the ongoing effort to keep conversational spaces as free as possible from trolls, bots, bullies and other bad apples who regularly rely on creating fake email accounts.
